Hosting a 4th of July Celebration with Style
The 4th of July is about family, fun, and freedom! Hosting your Independence Day barbeque should also be done in style! Who says paper plates and aluminum foil have to be a standard? Lets talk décor, food, and attire to assist you in hosting a mature and upscale 4th of July barbeque.
Home Sweet Home
I’m a fan of hosting at home, especially if you have an amazing outdoor kitchen that would work well for grilling up the hot dogs, hamburgers, and ribs – we will talk about the menu later. Welcome your guests with a lovely door wreath when they arrive. It’s a great DIY project and could serve as a nice gift to guest who stays after to help you clean – they can grace their front door with it next year!
Cabana? “Oh Boy”
A significant aspect of a successful event is of course the people! Make sure that you create nice sitting areas where your guests can relax and enjoy one another’s company. Backyard cabanas are a great way to arrange seating and lounge space, keep your guests cool, and do it with panache. Accent your seating areas with patriotic details for a “theme pop”. Here are some lounge ideas that are sure to impress your guests.
The key to any themed affair is to not go overboard with the theme – or be too literal. We love some these ideas. Incorporating a lighter shade of blue really creates some contrast and pop to your casual barbeque. These Pantone Colors are well suited for your event.
Of course a non-barbeque tablescape will have your guests in shock and awe!
BBQ Anyone ?
What’s a barbeque without amazing food! We love the idea of traditional American BBQ food with a presentation that will impress your guests. Here are a few ideas to get you designing your food displays!
Berry Salad & Fruit Salad
Hot Dogs & Hamburgers
Baby Back Ribs with BBQ Sauce Bar
Watermelon Mojito (non and alcoholic options)
Lemonade Station (non alcoholic)
Its your party and you’ll #slay if you want to! Here are a few outfits that are comfortable for hosting yet cute enough to turn a few heads!
We hope your 4th is filled with fun, fireworks, and good times!!!!
