Many times the elements of nature serve as amazing inspiration for wedding design. This weeks Color Series focuses on Ruby and Steel (also known as Pantone Oxblood and Sharkskin). Obtaining inspiration for this color palette outside of the rustic feel can be a daunting task. So we thought we would offer a few tips on how to add some “Bold Elegance” to these “Natural Elements”.
Utilizing the metallic steel as a foundation for your invitation is a sure way to set the tone for your wedding. This invitation is practically the perfect combination of pretty and slightly edgy.
Full length gowns really shine in these colors. Whether Summer or Fall, your bridesmaids will be fabulous in these colors paired with contrasting bouquets. Dont you just love dusty miller for a natural pop of grey tones. #swoon
And for the guys….
Okay, now when it comes to the decor be prepared for a rich burst of color and elegance! Keep your decor deep and rich. To execute elegance, and not country, rustic, or classic keep ivory and white out of the decor plans (unless you are draping the room of course). We love creating a foundation with the pewter then adorning the tables with rich bursts of monochromatic burgundy.
This rich palette of the natural gem – ruby and the natural metal – steel makes for a super-naturally gorgeous wedding! Not being afraid of the bold hue makes it an easy transition from natural to bold elegance!
